Premier League: Rooney to leave Manchester United in February?

According to British sources, Wayne Rooney can still leave Manchester United in February.

Given that the transfer window is closed in Europe, China can be his only possible destination. There were a lot of speculations about Rooney heading to Asia in recent months, and it seems clubs in China are still interested.

According to reports, the England international striker has two offers on table to leave the Red Devils before the end of the Chinese transfer window on 28 February.

Ronney still has 18 months left on his current contract with Manchester United, which guarantees him £300.000 a week. Rooney is thought to have offers worth £32 million a year to make the move to Far East.
Altough the offers are on the table, it is more likely that the transfer could be completed only in the summer, even tough the clubs are working very hard to make it happen earlier.

Signing Rooney would be a big coup for the club and also for the whole league, considering his past achivements, records and marketing value.
Rooney could be the most high-profile acquisition for the Chinese League, after joining list of well-known players who have already made the switch.

The list includes Carlos Tevez, Hulk, Ezequiel Lavezzi, Oscar, Ramires, Paulinho, Alex Teixeira, Gervinho and Freddy Guarin.

Wayne Rooney was born on 24 October 1985 in Croxteth, Liverpool, England.
He started his youth career with Everton, before signing for Manchester United in 2004 for £25.6 million.
During his stay with the Red Devils, he went on to become the all-time Manchester United record goalscorer. He overtook Sir Bobby Charlton after scoring his 250th goal for the club with a late equaliser against Stoke City in January 2017 in his 546th appearance for the club.

Rooney has 119 caps for the English national side, and is the all-time top scorer for the Three Lions with 53 goals.
